The american indie rock band Gossip have never been as succesful as this year. Their album “Music for Men” and the single “Heavy Cross” is a seller all over the planet, especially in Germany they are in the charts for many many weeks and still going strong.

Beth Ditto, Brace Pain and Hanah Blilie just released a new video for their next single “Men In Love”. Very funny, a party video, where men behave silly and Beth with a great wig is driving the party bus. Beth went on the catwalk for Karl Lagerfeld last week in Paris and did a great show. The band is re-releasing their album “Music For Men” by the end of October with bonus tracks, lots of live stuff and a DVD with videos. They are also performing on November, 2nd on the German TV show X-factor.

Have a look at the new video here:

The band is on the road again in Germany and France in November and December.

US singer Lissie released her brilliant album “Catching A Tiger” this year and had a hit with the fantastic “When I`m Alone”. She is a superb singer/songwriter and one of the best new female singers who broke through this year.

Now she is back with the next single from the album, this time it`s the lovely “Everywhere I Go”. She just released the video for the song, which she shot in Germany at Kap Arkona on the island Rugia (Rügen). She shot the video with an African Elephant named Marla and the two of them became friends while shooting the video.

Lissie is busy touring the US at the moment and will be back in Europe by the end of October for a big European tour again.

The Killers singer Brandon Flowers is releasing “Only The Young” as the second single from his debut album “Flamingo”.

Flowers, who is currently on tour in Europe, did shoot the video with director Sophie Muller. It looks like they got the Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil team behind them, with lots of dancers and artists in the video.

A nice video to a great song. Have a look:

Graffiti 6 just released their fantastic debut album “Colours”. The handsome singer Jamie Scott (of Jamie Scott &  The Town), who had a record out a couple of years ago at Universal, teamed up with producer Tommy D and they started working together almost 2 years ago under the name Graffiti 6. It was thought to be an experiment, but the results are very pleasing and they wrote some excellent pop tunes together.

After the fresh “Annie You Save Me”, they re-released “Staring At The Sun” as the second single from the album. Their sound is great pop, sounds a bit like Mark Ronson/Gnarls Barkley, very groovy psychedelic pop with a brilliant mixture of electric piano and offbeat guitar and Jamie`s falsetto vocals.

Start dancing with “Stone In My Heart”, followed by the excellent 2 singles. Take a breath with the slower beautiful song “This Man”, “Free” is a grower, you gonna love it more and more you listen to it. Title track “Colours” as Jamie sings, “flows into your mind” and “Stop Mary” rocks. Lay with someone you love and listen to “Lay Me Down”. The album ends with “Over You”, a fantastic quiet ballad, which Prince should be jealous of.

This is feel good music at it`s best, wonderful optimistic, powerful and makes you feel better! Thanxs guys for this excellent record!

The deluxe iTunes UK version contains 2 more tracks than the normal album version and both videos to the singles.

The guys are playing a couple of UK dates this month, jump over to New York on the 18th, followed by some dates in Belgium and the Netherlands the next months.

From her excellent new album “Fleshtone”, US singer Kelis is releasing “Scream” as the next single.

After hits like “Milkshake” and the fabulous “I Hate You So Much Right Now”, Kelis turned her back on hip hop and recorded a fantastic electro dance album which suits her best. The biggest hit from the album so far was the David Guetta produced hit  “Acapella”. After Kelis toured together with Robyn in the States, she will hit the road in Europe in October, starting on the 1st in London.

Here is her new video:

There has been a kind of vibe about this british singer for a while and now she is ready to start with her first stunning single “Ain`t Nobody”, which will be released in the UK on October, 18th.

The talented singer dropped out of school aged 16 to start her music career, got a deal with Polydor/Universal music and artists like Jarvis Cocker, Plan B, Fraser T. Smith and Mike Sinner did write songs for her. She will release her debut album soon. There is a free download available of another great song of hers, “Strangest Thing” on her facebook page.

Clare has a unique fantastic powerful voice and definately will go her way in the biz.  She will be supporting Hurts and Plan B on tour in the UK in October 2010.

The video for her first single “Ain`t Nobody” reminds of “Frozen” by Madonna. Have a look yourself:

British acid jazzer Jamiroquai is releasing his new album “Rock Dust Light Star” this November.  To promote the new album he did film 2 videos, one for the european single “White Knuckle Ride” and one for the UK single “Blue Skies”.

We know singer Jay Kay for his love for hats and fast cars, this time he rides a motor bike in one video and a helicopter in the other. Have a look yourself:

After 5 years, it`s great to have Jamiroquai back with his adorable dance tunes. The band will perform live on Jools Holland tomorrow. Live dates are coming up the next weeks.

Mark Ronson is back with a new album, this time under “Mark Ronson & The Business Intl”. It`s party time again. Ronson, who did excellent work as producer for people like Adele, Daniel Merriweather, Nas, Christina Aguilera, Duran Duran and of course was the mastermind behind Amy Winehouse, is releasing his new album 3 years after “Version”.

The Grammy and Brit award winner recorded the new album in Brooklyn and got lots of fantastic guest vocalists singing for him. On “Bang Bang Bang”, which was the first single, you hear Q-Tip and MNDR (she plays keyboards for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. “Lose it (in the end)” features Ghostface Killah on vocals and Mark sings himself. Not that bad. “The Bike Song” which is also available as single, is sung by The View singer Kyle Falconer. The best song on the album is “Somebody To Love Me”, which was written by Mark with Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters), Cathy Dennis, Anthony Rossomondo (Dirty Pretty Things) and Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow). The superb song features Wyatt and the legendary Boy George on vocals! Wonderful!

Lots of other artists contributed to the album like D`Angelo, Duran Duran, Jonathan Pierce (The Drums), Nick Hodgons (Kaiser Chiefs), Rose Elinor Dougall (great voice from The Pipettes). It`s a great collection of songs which doesn`t feel like an artist album, more like a best of 2010! Also the few instrumental songs are fantastic.

The album is also available in a fantastic 7″ box set, comprising of the full 14 tracks on seven individual discs with bespoke artwork. Ronson will tour the UK, starting today in Bristol.

British X-factor winner of 2009, Joe McElderry, releases his first proper single from his debut album “Wide Awake”. The song “Ambitions” is a cover version of the fantastic pop tune by the Norwegian band Donkeyboy who had a hit with the song this year. As the song is so strong, the team of Joe decided to record the song as his first single.

It`s a great track and suits Joe`s voice very well. This one should be a number 1 sure shot for him. The 19 year old singer from South Shields, who came out of the closet a couple of weeks ago worked the last months with top producers like Dallas Austin and John Shanks.

“Ambitions” is out in the UK on October, 11th, the album follows on October 25th. Joe will perform at G.A.Y. in London on the 23rd of October and will do lots of promotion within the next weeks.

Here is the nice video, showing the cute singer dancing in the streets and looking stunning:

British singer James Blunt is back with a new haircut and his third album “Some Kind Of Trouble”, which is out in November 2010. The singer who shot to fame with his million sellers “You`re Beautiful” and “Goodbye My Lover” amongst other hits, was a former soldier before he started his music career. He is one of the most successful singers of the last years and although lots of people can`t stand his music and think he is a crooner, he absolutely is a talented songwriter and singer.

The new single isn`t a ballad, it`s a great summer track and his new haircut suits him very well. The single will be released by the end of October 2010 and Blunt will hit the road on a worldwide tour in February 2011.

Here is the just released video for “Stay The Night”:
