The band consists of singer Malin Dahlström and keyboarder Gustaf Karlöf, who did release a couple of songs and an EP before the album came out. “The Drummer” is one of their best known songs and set the expectations high for a great pop album.

The result is one of the best debut albums i`ve heard in years. Pure pop with Malin`s beautiful voice, which delights every pop music lover with her crystal clear voice. Perfect melodies, interesting sounds and great lyrics do the rest to make you fall in love with their record. You can hear how much work and love they put into this record and their influences by great pop records from the last 30 years from the likes of Kate Bush, Kylie or Goldfrapp.

If you know “The Drummer” already, please listen to the fantastic “Mother Protect”, “In Your Eyes”, “Love To The Test” and the stunner “DJ Ease My Mind”.

“Instinct” is a highlight of pop music in 2012 and if you like Oh Land, Bat For Lashes or Ladyhawke, you gonna love this album! The band is currently on tour  in the UK and will play some European festivals the next months.

It took the guys quite a while til the release of their debut album which was anticipated from lots of pop music lovers. The two swedish guys Oskar Gullstrand and Stefan Storm, both from Gävle, created a wonderful pop landscape. This is absolutely lovely Swedish dream pop. If you like the Pet Shop Boys, you sure will love this album of finest electronic pop music.

After several great singles like “Magic” (which was used in a Mitsubishi ad), “Into the clouds” and “Nova”, expectations were high for the album and you won`t be disappointed. There are 11 songs and 2 bonus tracks to discover, let the dreams begin while listening!

She is a perfectionist and worked a long time on her debut album, but finally Nicola Roberts released “Cinderella`s Eyes” this week in the UK. And the album is fantastic! Good choice to get producer Diplo involved, who gave her a modern sound. Other collaborators involved are Dragonette, Metronomy and Invisible Men.

Nicole wanted to make her perfect album and she did record 12 excellent tracks. The album starts with the energetic single “Beat Of My Drum”, followed by the excellent “Lucky Day” and there is not one weak song following. Good lyrics from a girl about love and life, honest and direct and her voice never sounded better. The album contains mostly up-tempo songs, one cover (“Everybody`s Got To Learn Sometime”)  and the album ends with the beautiful ballad “Sticks +  Stones”. Well done Nicola!

Will Young just released his fifth studio album called “Echoes” and it looks he will enter the UK album charts next weekend at number 1 or number 2. It`s almost 10 years ago he started his career as the first winner of the casting show “Pop Idol” and has been very successful since then. Besides his music he also stepped into the movie biz and played a teacher in the great series “Skins” and a role in “Lady Henderson presents”.

The new album starts with the great single “Jealousy” and features 13 excellent pop tracks. It was a good choice to team up with producer and writer Richard X, who did work with Kylie, Saint Etienne or Goldfrapp, cos he put a more modern sound to Will`s new album.

There is only one word for this album and his voice: EXCELLENT! Listen to up-tempo tracks like “Lie Next To Me”, “Runaway”, “Personal Thunder”, my favourite “Hearts on Fire” and wonderful ballads like “Outsider” and “Silent Valentine”.  A perfect album for late summer days to come! It`s a shame he never really made it abroad, this finally has to be changed!!

Will is touring the UK in October and November 2011.

Her new album “Snapshots” which is out in Germany, Switzerland and Austria on 26th of August features 14 of her favourite songs from the last 30 years, great songs like “Anyone Who Had a Heart” from Cilla Black , “Remember Me” by Diana Ross or “Wonderful Life” by Black amongst many others. Kim is touring with Status Quo in the UK in December and will hit the road in Germany again in March 2012.

Like Robyn or Lykke Li, Firefox AK delivers fantastic pop tunes which makes you happy. Andrea Kellerman, which is the real name of Firefox AK, isn`t new to the scene. She had to add the “AK” to her stage name, because otherwise she would get in trouble with the webbrowser Firefox. “Color the Trees” is already her third album. She lived for a while in London and Berlin, but decided to move back to Sweden and is now living in Stockholm. There and in Berlin she wrote and recorded her new album and worked with Lasse Mårtén and Björn Yttling (Lykke Li, Peter,Bjorn & John) on several tracks. Andreas Mattsson (Popsicle, Hello Saferide) produced the new album.

The 12 electro pop tracks are excellent produced, Andrea sings like an angel and tells us about her life. The first single “Boom Boom Boom” is a burner and there are 2 more mixes of the song on the album. Listen to songs like “Meet Me There”, “Heavy With Rain”, the title track “Color the Trees” or “Honey Locust” to get a good impression of the great album.

Firefox AK will support Hurts at their Berlin show on August, 13th and will be back in Berlin and play at Berlin Music Festival on September, 10th.

She toured very successful in Europe and is playing more live gigs than ever before. Chris Stracey and Jack Glass, the guys behind Bag Raiders did a lot of remixes and dj sets before they released their self titled debut album last year in Australia which went straight to number 7 in the charts. They had several singles out like “Shooting Stars”, “Sunlight” and “Way Back Home”. They are currently getting more and more successful in Europe and the US, where they gonna be touring in July and August.

It`s so good he is back and he is sounding better than ever. After releasing his latest material on his own label, Darren Hayes is now back on a major label (Mercury Records) and released his first new single in 4 years, the excellent “Talk Talk Talk” today worldwide. The song is from his new album called “Secret Codes and Battleships”, which will be out this fall. The B-side of the single is a great cover version of Madonna`s “Angel”.

It was worth the long wait, over 3 years after their last record, finally the new album from The Feeling is out. And it is fantastic! It`s sounds much more modern with great pop melodies as usual but even some dance vibes on some of the songs.

The band recorded the new album in their own studio, which is called “The Dog House”, a former pub and now the home of gay singer Dan Gillespie-Sells. Sophie Ellis Bextor, who is married to bass player Richard Jones, recorded the track “Leave Me Out Of It” with the band and diva Roisin Murphy is singing on the dance track “Dance For The Lights”.

All 13 songs are brilliant, from up-tempo songs like “Searched Every Corner” to the beautiful ballad “Say No”. The deluxe edition features even 12 more songs! A great album for the summer of 2011!
