Album of the week: Ali Love "Love Harder"

Some critics say his music sounds as if Prince and producer Giorgio Moroder got a child together. And that`s a great description of his music. Ali Love from London has just released his album “Love Harder” today in the UK. The album will be out in Germany, Switzerland and Austria via Ministry of Sound on September, 24th.

You may have heard Ali`s voice on the Chemical Brothers’ smash “Do It Again”, or on his own earlier solo singles. Now the wait is over and his album is out.  “Love Harder” is a wonderful collection of 10 beautiful electro-pop songs with lots of influences from 80`s music, but the sound is fresh and contemporary. Ali grew up near Norfolk, did a year travelling around the world and moved then to North Finchley.

The current single is the fantastic “Smoke&Mirrors”. Listen to “Diminishing Returns” and “Moscow Girl” and you get addicted to his music. All songs are groovy and bright pop songs. “The Night” sounds like a pop pearl from Italy and reminds of “Talking Loud&Clear” from OMD. The opener, “Love Harder”, is another bomb. Ali worked with his friend and producer/songwriter Martin Dubka on the album. Check his website for live dates.
