Basement Jaxx feat. Sam Sparro

This week rumours spread in the net about Basement Jaxx lost their record deal with their label XL Recordings. Luckily today the label released a statement dismissing the rumours and the new Basement Jaxx album “Scars” will be released as planned on September 21st in the UK.

The album will be pushed by the single “Feelings Gone” with australian singer Sam Sparro, who had a big hit with “Black And Gold” and his fantatic album “Sam Sparro” last year.

“Scars” is the fifth studio album by Basement Jaxx. The UK house music duo consists of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe and they use several female and male singers for their recordings.  They also have been very succesful as remixers for other artists.  Besides Sparro, the fantastic dance music creators will be supported on the new album by Kelis, Yoko Ono, Santigold, Chipmunk, Lightspeed Champion, Amp Fiddler and Yo!Majesty.  After they released “Raindrops” as the first single from the new album this year, “Feelings Gone” is the second one. Check out this funny video with the now blonde Sam Sparro in it:
